Huber Equipment is a Full-Service Dealership for New and Previously Owned Agricultural, construction and Lawn and Garden Equipment.
Huber Equipment was founded as a family business in 1973 by the late Ernst Huber. It is still a family business with Andrew and Jocelyn Snih having purchased it in 2009 and they enjoy working there full-time with a tremendous team of dedicated employees. Huber sells quality new and previously owned lawn and garden, agricultural and construction equipment. They are a full service dealership with a parts and a service department as well as a full-time sales team. Huber Equipment has expanded and now has a second location in Smithers, BC serving the entire Bulkley Valley.

Our History
Huber Equipment was founded in 1973 by the late Ernst Huber. Ernst’s son-in-law sold the business to Andrew and Jocelyn Snih in 2009.
As Andrew tells it, he and Jocelyn had gone to Huber one day to look at a tractor for their small hobby farm. When they got out to the dealership, Andrew was inspired by the serene atmosphere and said to Jocelyn, “This would be a great place to work!” Little did they know that some years later they would purchase the business.
It was just like Andrew had envisioned and he and Jocelyn work full-time, right alongside the rest of the Huber team. Coming from backgrounds in IT and service in the military might not seem like perfect preparation for business, but since they purchased Huber Equipment, Andrew and Jocelyn have built up the business into 2, full-service dealerships with complete parts, service and sales departments that service the Northern BC region. Along the way they have forged many relationships with their customers and they are on a first name basis with many of them.
So while the ownership has changed since Huber Equipment first got started, the commitment to best-in-class machinery for the agriculture and construction industries has stayed the same. At the end of the day, it’s the people who work in those fields that remains the focus. Whether you’re cultivating fields for oats, barley, alfalfa or hay and then combining, baling and wrapping your crops at harvest time, Huber is there with the right size tractor, rake, baler and bale wrapper. Huber understands the necessity of keeping equipment in top running condition when it really counts too, so they have a full service department and they will make service calls if that’s what you want to do.
The same is true for the construction industry where we can outfit you with superior excavators, skid steers loaders, track and wheel loaders and track carriers. You will see Kubota equipment in every application, all over Northern and Central BC, from Prince Rupert to Terrace, Kitimat to Smithers, right through Houston to Burns Lake, Vanderhoof and into Prince George.
With a history of living on property, Huber Equipment knows that regardless of the size of your lawn and garden, you still need quality tools for the regular maintenance of it. That’s why we carry shredding and landscaping equipment as well as lawn tractors and side-by-sides; for people who demand performance excellence out of the machinery they employ to get the job done.
